1. Align your actions with your core values

How often do you stop to check that what you’re doing on a day to day basis is getting you closer to your life’s mission and goals?
It doesn’t matter how many items you check off your to-do list, if you’re not working in line with a concrete plan that will help you to accomplish what’s most important to you. Always ensure that you’re spending time on what truly matters, as that is how you will achieve success and fulfillment.

2. Minimize distractions
After you’ve figured out exactly what you want to achieve and allocated the time necessary, make sure that you have a system in place to guard against distractions.

As an example, block off time to work on your goals during which you’ll turn off all email and social media notifications, so that you can focus on the task at hand.

3. Learn to say no

Additionally, try to cut back on instant answers. Instead of committing to something or turning it down right away, ask for more time to think about it and confirm if you can really fit it into your schedule without stretching yourself too thin.
4. Understand how priorities really work
