How to Find Motivation to Workout
Motivation to workout
In the beginning, when you first make the decision to get fit and work out on a daily basis, it can be challenging to get motivated for workouts. This goes for both beginners and even advanced fitness junkies. Well below are a few tips to help you get started on your fitness journey.
- Create some fitness goals and write them down.
Start off with some short and long term goals.
Example: I want to lose 10 lbs this month and 30 lbs in the next 3 months. To reach this goal I should be losing about 2.5 lbs a week.
By a setting a goal and breaking it into smaller chunks, it’s more manageable and allows you to focus on a smaller accomplishment. This is a good way to motivate you to go to the next step.
- Purchase a heart monitor.
I find using a heart rate monitor is a great source of motivation. Being able to see the amount of calories you are burning and your heart rate during the workout, is a good motivator to dig deeper and work harder.
I use the Polar FT7 purchased from amazon.com and it’s been working great!
- Use a Pre-Workout energy booster.
Pre-workout energy boosters are great. Mainly because they give you an extra boost, or wake energy if you’re a morning lifter like myself. It’ll get you started and push you through your workout.
As an added bonus, it’s kind of like a point of no return. Once you take a pre-workout booster that’s it, you now have to workout that day. Otherwise you’ll be running around like the energizer bunny the rest of the day. I’ve been using the Beachbody e&e for pre-workouts and it’s working great so far.
- Reward yourself when it’s done.
Working out and eating healthy takes a lot of self discipline, but is very rewarding. Therefore, it’s a good idea to treat yourself every once in a while. Celebrate reaching a milestone/goal in your fitness journey.
- Last but not least get a coach and a support team.
If you’re already a member of TeamElev8, you have a team of people and coaches ready to support and encourage you throughout your fitness journey. So don’t hesitate to ask questions and remember to stay connected. If you don’t have a coach, what are you waiting for? It ‘s free and easy to Join Now!
